Gourmet juicy asparagus roasted with wild garlic and sesame
Simple and gourmet! Juicy asparagus roasted with fresh wild garlic and sprinkled with crunchy sesame seeds. A light, aromatic side dish or vegetarian dish with a strong character.

Ingredients:
- 500 g Elingea white asparagus, cleaned
- 1 handful wild garlic (or 2 cloves garlic, chopped)
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp sesame oil (optional, for extra flavor)
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds (white or black, or both)
- Salt & freshly ground pepper
- A little lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven:
- At 200°C, fan-forced or up and down.
- Preparing asparagus:
- Place the asparagus on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Add the olive oil, sesame oil (if using), chopped wild garlic, salt and pepper.
- Stir to coat well.
- Baking:
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until soft but still firm.
- 5 minutes before the end, sprinkle with sesame seeds to lightly toast in the oven.
- Serving:
- Serve hot, with a few drops of lemon juice if desired.
- Accompany with rice, grilled tofu or as a meze with bread and wine.
